    On April 10, Jody Simon participated in a panel at the inaugural Reality Rocks fan convention at the LA Convention Center. The title of the panel was "Brand Your Expertise."

Barbara M. Rubin Participates in Seminar

On February 4, Barbara M. Rubin participated in a live negotiation titled "Locking-in Talent" at a USC Law seminar on the business of television. Barbara represented the lead actor in a television show that has been picked up by a network, contingent on her client's participation. They negotiated deal points of the agreement, including compensation, option to extend, employee's conduct, credit and name/likeness use.

On January 28, Barbara M. Rubin was a panelist at the CLE International event "Film, Television and New Media Law." Her panel discussed the "New Realities" of Reality TV.

Oxygen Network has announced its pickup of Bachelorette Party: Las Vegas, a co-production of Pariah and Jody Simon client PB&J Television.

 

BAD SEX for PB&J
Logo Network has picked up the new series Bad Sex, in which noted sex addiction specialist Christopher Donaghue offers guidance to a sex treatment group on issues of sex and relationships. The show is produced by Jody Simon client PB&J Television.

 

ATAS Picks PR&S
For the fourth consecutive year, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has selected Peter, Rubin & Simon to host one of its two Business Affairs interns. The 2011 intern is Kelsey Terry, who is about to start her third year at Hamlin University School of Law in St. Paul.

ABC has orded a 12th cycle of Dancing with the Stars, produced by Jody Simon client BBC Worldwide Productions. The show continues to be one of the five most-watched shows on television.

 

FALL PREMIERES GENERATE BUZZ
NBC’s highly anticipated The Event premiered strongly with 11.2 million viewers. Dancing with the Stars walked away with the number 1 spot for the night with an impressive 21 million viewers, up 20% from last year. “The Event” creator/co-executive producer Nick Wauters is a Barbara Rubin client; “DWTS” producer BBC Worldwide is represented by Jody Simon.
